Leominster Festival 2011

Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Society

Saturday 4th June 2011

Mainly just providing some technical backup, but also mucking in for the usual Priory shift-around.

An energetic and well attended performance which sounded all the better in the Priory’s acoustics.

The Best of John Betjeman with Lance Pierson

Wednesday 8th June 2011

Lance Pierson bought John Betjeman to life for the evening.

This was our first event in the newly opened Earl Mortimer College where we picked up both sound and lighting with their brand new equipment. Although the stage area itself was fairly limited, it was good to work with a new lighting rig and the air-conditioned auditorium with it’s raked seating is a welcome addition to the town’s facilities.

Golden Moments from Opera with Hatstand Opera

Friday 10th June 2011

A brilliant, fast and very funny performance from Hatstand. We provided some additional lighting so they could be seen clearly in the Priory and it was a excellent evening for everyone involved.

Hannah Bethan Roper

Saturday 11th June 2011

Although we don’t normally provide additional lighting in the Lion Ballroom, especially for the lunchtime concerts, a mobile rig was bought in to provide a bit of lift for this performance.

Hannah performed beautifully with her violin and was a pleasure to listen to.

An Audience with Dan Cruickshank

Saturday 11th June 2011

Back into the Earl Mortimer for another straight-forward but enjoyable show to provide the technical support to. Once again, the College proved to be an excellent venue and the talk was informative and interesting for a reasonable and appreciative audience.

Sunday 12th June 2011

Minor technical support and all-hands-on-deck for the massive reorganisation of The Priory and it’s various furniture.
