The Olympic skiing hero made it to Leominster in one piece to turn on the Christmas lights for what was to be the last ‘big’ star-driven switch-on in recent times.
He proved to be a very relaxed and friendly character and was a great hit with everyone – once again, filling Corn Square with fans and taking time to sign autographs, pose for photographs, meet the people and just generally enjoy the atmosphere of the evening.
As ever, Blue State provided the lighting to the stage area and helped with a little crowd management while everyone waited patiently for Eddie’s arrival.
