A quiet year indeed

With the new Earl Mortimer school contruction well under way, certain parts of the old Minster College were slowly being dismantled and taken out of action. Unfortunately, one of the first casualties was the main hall which Leominster Festival as a Theatre. With no other venues in town offering the same scale of facilities, this year’s festival focussed on smaller venues where staging and lighting were not required.
For Blue State, that left us with a very quiet year technically. However, with a reduced Festival Committee available, our efforts focussed on supporting the Festival in other ways – manning the bar, setting and striking the venues and generally being on hand to help out.
